Fall Fellowship: November 13 - 15, 2009
Fun and Fellowship
After a long year of service, our Arrowmen deserve a weekend to have fun,
relax, and compete for fun and honors with their fellow members. The
Fall Fellowship is held once a year. Youth will play sports, practice
ceremonies, and participant in a host of fun events. Advisers can sit
back and enjoy the weekend and assist the kids with the fun.
Some of the events will include a chili cookoff, sports competitions, and
great campfires.
Also, Cahuilla Lodge will be conducting an O.A. Conservation project at
Fall Fellowship on Saturday morning. We will be cleaning debris and dead
trees from Strawberry Creek. Many are becoming a hazard and are disrupting
the flow of the creek. Our work in the morning will help restore a
natural flow.
Lodge Officer Elections
On Saturday evening, the youth of Cahuilla Lodge will gather to select
their leaders for 2010. There are six (6) Lodge Officer positions:
Lodge Chief, First Vice-Chief, Second Vice-Chief,
Third Vice-Chief, Secretary, and Treasurer.
Let your voice be heard! Only youth who attend Fall Fellowship can
have say in who leads Cahuilla Lodge next year.
Vigil Honor Call-Out
It is truly a privilege to recognize members of Cahuilla Lodge with the
Vigil Honor. Once a year, youth and adults are selected for their
record of service to Scouting, the Order, their unit, and their camp.
Several arrowmen will be called out on Saturday evening and will receive
the Vigil Honor. For those people, it
is a testament to their unselfish service. Could you be one of those
honored? Will a friend of yours be recognized? Come to the Fall
Fellowship and see.
Awards and Competitions
Cahuilla Lodge gives out 3 awards at the Fall Fellowship. The Spirit
Award is given to the chapter who shows the most spirit during the
weekend. The Chapter Excellence Award is measured as the best chapter over
the course of the last year. Finally, the Negami Award is given to the
best chapter over the course of the weekend.
Do you want your chapter to be honored? Do you want to take home one
of the awards? The Fall Fellowship is your chance to be recognized.
There are also a number of fun competitions in sports and Ceremony Expert Evaluations. If your
chapter ceremony team has been active this year and is ready, you may be able to be recognized.
