Dancing To Victory At The 1998 National Order of the
Arrow Conference
Congratulations are due to arrowmen Danny Souza and Dustin Shoemake who together became the first
OA National Dancing Champions in our lodge's history. Danny won the Traditional Dancing competition and Dustin won the Grass Dancing event. Plus, for the second consecutive conference, we had a second place drum team nationally and
Shadow Lodge deserves a lot of credit. The
1998 National Conference at Iowa
State University proved to be quite a success. Lodge Chief
Steve Scott and
Steve Bartel will report on the Conference on Sunday.
Contingent On Their Way To NOAC
Most of Cahuilla Lodge's Contingent of nearly 30 people left August 1 to arrive at Aames, Iowa to attend the 1998 National Order of the Arrow Conference, including several on staff. The lodge has high hopes for success with several dancers and
The Shadow Lodge Singers looking to assert themselves in NOAC competition. The full results will be available at the end of the conference and the lodge's five day diary will be online on Sunday, August 9.
