2006 NOAC Contingent
Our 2006 N.O.A.C. Contingent
Day 5: Founder's Day!
Today was the biggest and the baddest day at N.O.A.C., Founder's Day. More information about our booth will be available soon. At Founder's Day, every lodge in the country sets up a booth about their local area complete with games, fun, and giveaways. Its like the world's biggest midway.

Day 4: More N.O.A.C. Fun!
Today was another great day for Cahuilla Lodge. The attendees continued their classes in preparation for getting their participation awards. Every Cahuilla member is on pace to get their award! The youth continued to have fun in many competitions. Mac said that the younger kids are already becoming experts in patch trading. Not only are they picking up pocket flaps from lodges all over the country, but they have picked up some older Cahuilla Lodge flaps they really wanted. The weather is still stifling hot and very humid, similar to the weather in Southern California a couple weeks ago.

The Lodge is really looking forward to Founder's Day tomorrow. More will be posted when available.

Day 3: Ceremony Team Competitions
By Brandon Schleeter, Cahuilla Lodge Chief
Today, Tahquitz Chapter's Brotherhood ceremony team was evaluated by the judges at the National Conference. After a grueling night of practicing and coaching by Cahuilla's Lodge Officers, the team came through in fine style.

In particular, Steven Palmantier impressed the evaluators who said he embodied the role he played as well as anybody they've seen today.

Other activities today included training, open competitions, the daily show, billiards, and of course, patch-trading. Cahuilla arrowmen have been turning heads with our new t-shirts, as well as our previous N.O.A.C. and National Jamboree pcoket flaps, which remain fantastic trading items.

Despite the ever-present heat and humidity, the contingent is having a blast!
Day 2: Congratulations To Michael Gollner
Today, Cahuilla Arrowman Michael Gollner received the Distinguished Service Award (DSA), becoming the 4th member in our history to be awarded the distinction.
Day 1: Lots and Lots of Travel
By Jason Palmantier, Tahquitz Chapter Chief
We met at Ontario International Airport at 6AM and left at 8AM. We flew Southwest into Sky Harbor International (Phoenix) where we had an hour layover. We then departed for O'Hare International (Chicago).

From there, we then rented two 12 passenger vans to go from Chicago to East Lansing. We went the wrong way and got lost. It was on a toll road so we had to pay $1.20 to turn around. Everybody who slept on the plane kept everybody awake on the car ride because apparently they had too much sugar. We couldn't figure out what dorm we were supposed to be at. We went from parking lot to parking lot to find out where we needed to go. Mac decided to call Frank to find out where to head to. Frank told them "the dorm." We think we are staying in the North Wonder Hall dormitory. We didn't get into their rooms until 11 PM so it was a very long day. Everyone is tired and is going to sleep. Tomorrow we will be heading to Wal-Mart to get fans because there is no air conditioning in the rooms.

Also, Josh DePalmer needs a pair of black pants.
