The Wisumahi Chapter of Cahuilla Lodge is named after the local Lodge that existed in the Arrowhead Area Council between 1952 and 1955. An excellent history of that Lodge is available at the Wisumahi Lodge History page.

The Wisumahi Chapter was formed when the Whi-Al-Lum Chapter chose to change their name. Their choice allowed Cahuilla Lodge the luxury of recognizing their roots because all three Lodges that formed the organization have chapters by the same name (A-tsa # 380, Tahquitz # 127, and Wisumahi # 478).
