The Chief Speaks
January 1, 2009

My Friends,

It is such an honor to serve as your Lodge Chief for the year 2009. I look forward to being able to serve you in the upcoming year.

While there is plenty of fun to have in the upcoming year at NOAC and other events, this next year will contain plenty of work for our lodge. In the upcoming year, it is my vision to have a more active membership in the lodge, and in order to do this our lodge needs stronger chapters that can retain interest in the Order of the Arrow. This will not be an easy task, and we will need the involvement of everyone. Outside of that, we have a fellowship event to plan, ordeals to put on, a conclave event to plan, a NOAC event to attend and plan for, and council events to be a part of.

While all of this may seem like a large amount of work and planning, it will be well worth it.

I challenge each and every one of you to live up to the words of our founder “for he who serves his fellows is of all his fellows greatest”. Let us take that phrase to heart and cheerfully serve the people around us and take the obligation to our hearts and also to work towards the mission of our lodge.

I look forward to an amazing and successful year.

Kyle Sitarski
2009 Lodge Chief

Short-Term
  1. Obtain a 40% Brotherhood conversion rate in 2009
  2. During the year’s unit elections, it is my goal that we contact 100% of troops and teams in the California Inland Empire Council that desire unit elections.
  3. Plan and implement a successful Fellowship event, with over 100 people in attendance, which can be accomplished by better advertisement of the event.
  4. Plan and initiate at least four ordeal weekends throughout the year, two for each of our Council’s camps- Camp Helendade and Camp Emerson
  5. Plan a work weekend to be held at one of our council’s camps as one of the service projects for the year
Long-Term
  1. Continue our efforts to help Camp Helendade’s reconstruction efforts by offering our lodge’s service to the council camp and to the council facilities committee.
  2. Implement the Chapter Assistance Program.
  3. Increase membership in each individual chapter by 10% in an effort to strengthen the chapters of our lodge and to increase the interest in the program.
  4. Obtain Quality Lodge in 2009
  5. Improve communications between the officers of the lodge by implementing many methods of communications such as listservs, phone trees, Google documents, and Facebook groups.
  6. Further develop the Extended Elangomat program within our lodge in an attempt to increase our membership numbers.
