Honor Chapter Goals and Guidelines
Honor Chapter Program Background
The Honor Chapter Program was started in 1993 to recognize outstanding chapters for their dedication to running a
great program for their members throughout the year.
How do you become an Honor Chapter? Simple, I tell you! Just get a copy of the guidelines to be an Honor Chapter, complete a chapter book for the Chapter Excellence Award, and turn in your Annual Chapter Report at the December LEC meeting. Once the First Vice-Chief
ratifies your report, you will be recognized as an Honor Chapter for the next year.
Part of the Honor Chapter Program is the competition for the Chapter Excellence Award. The chapter
book you put together is judged by a three-person panel and the highest scoring book is declared the winner of one
of the 3 awards at Fall Fellowship. Since 1993, both small and large chapters have been victorious, so any active
chapter has a chance to come out on top!
