As many of the youth of the Morningstar Singers have become adults, it was found necessary to reconstitute
Cahuilla Lodge's singing and drum team into a new group. Under the leadership of advisers David Walsten
and Phil Mandery, a new team has been born. In June 2004, the youth voted to name themselves the
Rising Sun Drum Team. A new site will soon be launched with team, practice, and performance information.
The Morningstar Singers are a northern-style drum and singing team from
Cahuilla Lodge # 127. Morningstar has put their team on the map both locally and nationally, including many performances at the
National Order of the Arrow Conference.(NOAC).
The Morningstar Singers are the best Northern Drum in the entire nation! The team competed with over 30 other drum teams throughout the nation at the 2000
National Conference and placed 6th, but the 5 drums ahead of them with all of the Southern Drum variety.
